The LSGHAA Br. Roly Bowling event Strikes again after 24 years!👏💯🎳
The thunderous roar of strikes and spares echoed through Playdium Bowling & Billiards Center in Quezon City last Saturday, October 5th, as the La Salle Green Hills Alumni Association (LSGHAA), in partnership with a dedicated group of volunteers from Batch 1997, hosted the second Br. Roly Bowling Tournament.
This marked the triumphant return of the event after a 24-year hiatus, with the first tournament held back in 2000 at Greenlanes in Greenhills.
Nearly 40 attendees, including 31 eager bowlers, gathered for an afternoon of friendly competition, camaraderie, and fun.
Alumni from various batches were joined by a spirited group of current LSGH students, showcasing the enduring connection to the Lasallian community.
After three exciting games, JR Tan from Batch 2000 emerged as the champion, claiming the coveted trophy.
Other top performers included:
2nd Place: Dennis Yap (Batch 1992)
3rd Place: Lawrence Tucay (Student)
4th Place: Alwin Bathan (Batch 2016)
5th Place: Kassie Yap (Batch 2024)
These skilled bowlers were recognized with medals, while all participants enjoyed the chance to win raffle prizes.
Beyond the bowling action, the event was a resounding success in fostering fellowship and rekindling connections. Attendees praised the fun atmosphere and the abundance of delicious food, proving that the tournament was more than just a competition – it was a celebration of the LSGH spirit.
“It was fantastic to see alumni and students come together for a day of fun and friendly rivalry,” said one of the organizers from Batch 1997. “The positive feedback we received has been overwhelming, and we’re committed to making this an annual tradition once again.”
With its successful revival, the Br. Roly Bowling Tournament has proven its enduring appeal and its ability to unite the LSGH community. Here’s to many more strikes and spares in the years to come!
Animo! 💚🏹
