In a continuation of its mission to guide and inspire young minds, the La Salle Green Hills Alumni Association (LSGHAA) in collaboration with the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), held another insightful session for the Grade 11 students as part of the Jayjay Malixi’s Project Big Brother Career College Pathing event. This year’s session, aptly titled “Career Pathing,” focused on real-life experiences shared by our accomplished LSGH alumni.

The session gave our students the rare opportunity to hear directly from successful alumni about the journey they took in choosing their universities, the challenges they faced as they balanced college life, and their transitions into early professional careers. The shared stories not only highlighted the importance of perseverance but also illustrated that success is a path full of learning opportunities, from both victories and setbacks.

14 alumni from the LSGH Batch of 2000 (Dosmil) led the majority of the talks, sharing their personal and professional experiences with over 600 Grade 11 students in attendance. The insights provided by the speakers emphasized the significance of finding one’s passion, embracing challenges, and learning from mistakes—valuable lessons that will undoubtedly stay with the students as they make important decisions about their own futures.

The main speakers for the day were part of Dosmil LSGH Batch 2000, an exceptional group of individuals who have gone on to excel in various fields. With 14 out of 22 alumni from this batch sharing their stories, the Dosmil speakers were able to bring a wealth of experience and diverse perspectives to the table. The speakers included:

The event was a testament to the strong ties of the La Salle Green Hills community and the commitment of our alumni to guide the next generation of Lasallians. The Career Pathing session not only allowed current students to ask questions and gain advice but also demonstrated the importance of staying connected with one’s alma mater.

As these young students begin to navigate their own paths toward higher education and future careers, the stories shared by these alumni will undoubtedly serve as a source of inspiration and guidance for years to come.
