THE NEED TO CHEER! | JAYJAY MALIXI’S PROJECT KAPATID 2026 for grade 8 students

The JayJay Malixi’s Project Kapatid has once again reignited the Lasallian spirit of our Grade 8 students! In collaboration with the LSGH SACB, the La Salle Green Hills Alumni Association (LSGHAA) held another session on October 7, 2026, with the theme “The Need to Cheer!”

This session focused on teaching our Grade 8 students the different Lasallian cheers and chants, led by 11 distinguished LSGH Alumni volunteers who are former Pep Squad members. Through simple presentations in each classroom, our alumni introduced the students to the cheers that have long been part of our Lasallian tradition. Joining them was our current LSGH Pep Squad, who personally demonstrated the steps and movements accompanying each chant.

Following the classroom presentations, our alumni and the current LSGH Pep Squad gathered at the Promenade for an exciting and energetic pep performance. Their spirited demonstration captivated the students and reignited the Lasallian spirit instilled in generations of Lasallians before them.

The session concluded with a simple yet heartwarming awarding ceremony for our alumni speakers. Even after the energetic pep performance, the warmth, joy, and fire of the Lasallian spirit remained evident among our alumni and Pep Squad members. Their participation reflects their enduring passion and deep desire to once again relive and pass on the Animo to the next generation.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our alumni speakers and volunteers:

Our sincerest thanks also go to the LSGH Pep Squad, who joined our alumni in the demonstrations and pep performance; LSGH Pep Squad Coach Ms. Shaira Llagas; and former Pep Squad Coach Lawrence Navarro for sharing their passion and helping bring the Lasallian cheers to life.

We would also like to express our gratitude to the LSGH SACB, represented by Mr. Mark Gilbert Rehoy and Ms. Jeanne Medina; our JayJay Project Kapatid Chairman, Joey Recio ’91; and the LSGHAA Office for their continued support in making this session a success.

We look forward to the next JayJay Project Kapatid session on November 18, 2026!
